Maryville University's Center for Access and Achievement (CA2) partners with high-need school districts and nonprofits to help prepare students with the skills and abilities they need to succeed in STEM fields in college and the careers of the future. Our summer STEM programs include hands-on, creative experiences with cutting-edge technologies. Our courses are taught by highly qualified faculty with advanced education including gifted early childhood, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) certification.
This summer we will offer the following programs:
Become a STEM Solver while gaining college experience! Using new LEGO SPIKE Prime, you could create the next esports game, viral videos/cartoons, or amusement parks. Have fun mastering engineering & publishing skills in Teen Tech.
DigiGirlz High Tech Camp is a free once-day class for girls entering grades 8-12 to explore careers in technology. Pre-registration is required.
Participants will meet successful women from the technology industry to learn about their career experiences and inspirations. Presented by Microsoft and the Saint Louis Science Center, DigiGirlz High Tech Camp includes tech demonstrations, networking and hands-on workshops. Girls will also have the chance to win amazing prizes.
Kids can work on existing gym skills, learn new skills or just play around during Open Gym at Miss Kelly's Gym in Creve Coeur.
Visit the James S. McDonnell Planetarium in Forest Park and see a star show to experience the largest artificial sky in the Western Hemisphere. Star shows are lead LIVE by one of the Planetarium's educators, creating a new and tailored experience for every audience.
Stop in and have some fun in the indoor pool at the Lodge of Des Peres with your little one at this drop-in swim time for kids up to age 6. No pre-registration is needed; Water Waddlers is open to residents and non-residents of Des Peres.

Storytelling in the Museum is an in-person storytelling event happening at 10:30 a.m. at the Missouri History Museum. This event, perfect for the preschool set, features engaging stories with themes like Grandparents Day, Hispanic Heritage Month, and mealtime. Storytelling in the Museum is free.
