Celebrate back-to-school season at Tons of Trucks, a public event sponsored by the city of Glendale and the Kirkwood Early Childhood Center.
Tons of Trucks features vehicles from the police, fire and public works departments from the city of Glendale, which kids can explore. Additional activities include Party Animals, a mobile stuff-a-bear activity where kids can stuff and decorate their own stuffed animal (decked out in a police, fire or public works uniform!), Kona Ice, and goodies from Chicken Scratch restaurant.
Tons of Trucks will be held August 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The first hour will be sensory friendly with no sirens or horns. All are welcome!
Park at North Glendale Elementary. There will be a shuttle to the Kirkwood Early Childhood Center.

Visit the James S. McDonnell Planetarium in Forest Park and see a star show to experience the largest artificial sky in the Western Hemisphere. Star shows are lead LIVE by one of the Planetarium's educators, creating a new and tailored experience for every audience.
Families are invited to the Saint Louis Art Museum on Sunday afternoon to participate in free hands-on art activities with fun themes and to explore the galleries. Each Family Sunday focuses on a different family-friendly theme.
The Saint Louis Science Center has expanded its Preschool Science Series to include new offerings for different age groups of young scientists. Storybook STEM is for ages 3 to 5.
