Meet the Bunny, Hunt for Eggs and Lots More at These St. Louis Area Easter Events

Grab your baskets and get hopping to these local egg hunts, many with opportunities to take pictures with the Easter Bunny! Some events require registration.

Visits with the Bunny + Bunny Town at The Magic House, every weekend (Fridays through Sundays) through April 10

Hop on over to The Magic House to meet the Bunny! This spring, The Magic House is inviting families to visit its outdoor pavilion, take photos with the Bunny and spend some time at Bunny Town. Bunny Town features spring-inspired art experiences, bunny games, trike rides and lots of fresh-air fun!  Private visits with the Bunny are $15 per family and include admission to Bunny Town. Registration is required. Visits with the Bunny can be booked Fridays through Sundays March 18 through April 10, during museum hours. Register for your family visit with the Bunny at magichouse.org

Springtime Village at Purina Farms, April 15 & 16

Bring the whole family to Purina Farms to celebrate the arrival of Spring! At Purina Farms' popular Springtime Village you'll find baby animals, games, activities, live entertainment and all the fun of the farm.

Bunny Hop at The Magic House, April 10, 13 & 16

Bring your kids to Bunny Hop at The Magic House this spring! The exclusive play experience features an evening outdoor egg hunt in the Play Garden, the chance to meet the bunny for a photo, spring-inspired crafts, a sweet cookie treat, and the opportunity to explore the entire Magic House at this after-hours event. Reservations for The Bunny Hop at The Magic House are required. Cost is $10 per person for members and $20 per person for non-members. The Bunny Hop is happening from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on:

• Wednesday, April 13, and
• Saturday, April 16

Breakfast with the Bunny at the Saint Louis Zoo: April 9 & 16: 

Hop into spring by bringing your family for a fun breakfast with the Bunny and other costumed characters at the Saint Louis Zoo. Meet the Bunny and other costumed characters (and take your own photos with them at your own private table), enjoy a breakfast buffet, and get free parking. Each child will receive a surprise gift! The Saint Louis Zoo hosts this fun family event (indoors at the McDonnell Center at River Camp) with seating at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on April 9 and 16. Pre-paid reservations are required, and seating is limited. Cost is $28 for adults and $20 per child for Zoo members; $30 for adults and $22 per child for non-members. Children under age 2 are free. Easter Egg-Citement and Flippity Flop Breakfast at Eckerts

Hop on down the bunny trail and fill your basket with fun! Eckert’s Annual Egg Hunt includes animals for petting, tractor rides around the farm, planting seeds to take home, a dusk pond, gifts from the bunny, and a free photo scene with the Easter Bunny. Cost is $15 per child.  Easter Egg-Citement at Eckerts Belleville Farm takes place April 2, 3, 9, 10, 15 & 16.  Egg hunts are scheduled at 20-minute intervals between 9 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. Registration for a specific time slot is required. Eckerts is also hosting a kids' Flippity Flop Breakfast each morning prior to Easter Egg-Citement. Breakfast includes sprinkle pancakes, bunny fruit kabobs, bacon and a sherbet sunrise drink. Enrichment Extravaganza at the Saint Louis Zoo, April 16 & 17

Everyone likes a treat, and the animals at the Saint Louis Zoo are no exception! Visitors can watch these special "egg hunt" enrichment activities and learn about their favorite animals. during the Enrichment Extravaganza. Keepers, curators and volunteers at the Zoo plan enrichment activities for the animals throughout the year as a way to make life more interesting for the animals. The animals are encouraged to forage for food, invent "toys" out of everyday items, explore with new exhibit "furniture" such as logs and vines, or even sniff new scents. Enrichment activities are fun for the animals, visitors, and the keepers.

The Enrichment Extravaganza also includes a digital scavenger hunt for kids. Young guests can participate in a virtual egg hunt of their own as they look for the egg-shaped signs around the Zoo and scan the QR code for fun information about animals, eggs, and enrichment. The 2022 Enrichment Eggstravaganza will be held on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Saint Louis Zoo. weather permitting. More information: stlzoo.org

Equine Assisted Therapy Annual Egg Hunt, April 13 

Equine Assisted Therapy’s Annual Egg Hunt takes place on Saturday, April 13 at Longview Farm Park in Town and Country. Registration opens at 11 a.m., with the hunt beginning promptly at noon. Kids ages 2-12 can enjoy a unique egg hunting experience where they gather eggs, and then get to “sell” them in order to buy games, toys, books and more from a General Store.

Pre-registration is not required. Cost is $12/hunter, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting Equine-assisted Therapy, a nonprofit dedicated to providing therapeutic horseback riding activities for children and adults with disabilities. More information: town-and-country.org

Pint-Sized Easter Party with PEEPS!, April 3

Hop on over to Play Street Museum for a Pint-Sized Easter Party with PEEPS! In addition to playtime in the museum, little ones will enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt and fun painting with PEEPS activity. Get Hopping Easter Egg Hunt, April 16

Hop on over to Des Peres Park for the annual Easter Egg Hunt, where your kids can meet the Easter Bunny and have their picture taken with him. The event is free and geared to kids ages 6 and under. Kids should bring their own baskets and be ready to have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny! 9:30 a.m. sharp on Saturday, April 16 in Des Peres Park. Free. The hunt will be held rain or shine. Doggie Sniff & Search, April 16

Follow the Bunny Train to the Doggie Sniff & Search at Purina Farms! Bring your family's furry friend to sniff and play while hunting for cheesy-scented tennis balls scattered around the outdoor Main Show Field. For a $25 registration fee, you will receive entry to the Doggie Sniff & Search, entry to Springtime Village, access to fun, energy-burning activities for dogs, a chance to win prizes, a doggie goody bag, and fun photo ops!

All dogs must be kept on a leash and escorted by their human companion during the hunt. No more than two dogs per handler. All visiting pets must be vaccinated, have a visible rabies ID tag, be well-socialized and free of health concerns. Puppies must be at least four months old to participate. No retractable leashes. The cost for the first dog is $25, additional $10 for each additional dog. Easter Treasure Hunt at the City Museum, April 9-10

For a new twist on an Easter Egg Hunt, try an Easter Treasure Hunt! Be a pirate for Easter at the City Museum Easter Treasure Hunt, where only the best pirates will find the golden eggs. Prizes include candy, toys and general admission for another visit to City Museum. The Easter Treasure Hunt is free with general admission. WILD Family Fun Days GPS Egg Hunt, April 9

Join the fun at Babler Memorial State Park for a GPS egg hunt. Eggs will be hidden in various places around the park, including on trails, under pavilions, in fields and everywhere in between. You can find a prize to take home at each location! No experience with GPS is necessary. You can sign up for a GPS device pre-loaded with the egg locations and you'll receive instructions on how to complete the hunt. Or, bring your own GPS device or phone and you'll be provided with the coordinates for all the hidden eggs. Easter Egg Hunt in Francis Park - St. Louis Hills, April 16

The St. Louis Hills Neighborhood Association hosts its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 16 at 11 a.m. in Francis Park near the playground area. Children up to third grade can gather eggs filled with candy and prize coupons. Children in fourth through eighth grades will search an extended area to find four golden eggs each with a $25 prize. The Easter Bunny’s helpers will be on hand to help the little ones and for photo opportunities. Registration is not required. For more information, visit stlhills.com.

Egg-Stravaganza at the Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex, April 2:  The Egg-Stravaganza Egg Hunt in Chesterfield will feature thousands of eggs, the Easter Bunny himself, craft activities and lots more. Kids will be divided into groups according to age and every child should bring their own basket.  The Egg-Stravaganza Egg Hunt will be held at the Chesterfield Athletic Complex on Saturday, April 2 beginning at 9 a.m. Cost is $8 per child until April 1 (registration is available online) and $10 per child on the day of the event. Breakfast with the Bunny at Blanchette Park - St. Charles, April 2: On Saturday, April 2 the Easter Bunny stops at Memorial Hall in Blanchette Park in St. Charles for the day. Enjoy a hot breakfast in the pavilion near the playground, do holiday crafts, go on an egg hunt and get photos taken with the Easter Bunny himself. Don't forget your basket and camera! 9 a.m. Cost is $25/person (ages 1 and under are free), and you can register online. 

Hip Hop Hurray Egg Hunt in Ellisville, April 9:  The Easter Bunny is going to leave a trail of eggs in Bluebird Park for kids to find, and they will be full of candy! This egg hunt, sponsored by the City of Ellisville, is open to children ages 9 and under and is free. Pre-registration is required. Easter Egg Hunt at Founders Park - Lake Saint Louis, April 9

Easter Egg Scramble in Crestwood, April 9

Kids of all ages are invited to bring a basket and hunt eggs and visit with Peter Cottontail at Whitecliff Park in Crestwood on April 8. Pre-registration is required. Flashlight Egg Hunt in Manchester,  April 12

This Tuesday evening egg hunt gives kids at 10-14 a chance to hunt for eggs in the dark! The hunt, in Manchester's Schroader Park, includes games and pizza too. Registration is required. 7:30 to 9 p.m. More information: manchestermo.gov or call 636-391-6326.

Easter Egg Dive at St. Peter's Rec-Plex, April 10

Participants will swim or dive to collect eggs that are floating or weighted in the pool at the St. Peter's Rec Plex Easter Egg Dive. Afterwards, they can trade in their eggs for candy! Autism Egg Hunt at Vago Park in Maryland Heights, April 9

This Easter Egg Hunt is an inclusive hunt for families with Autistic children. Easter baskets will be provided for registered participants. Space is limited. After the egg hunt, stick around for playtime at the playground, sand volleyball pit and splash pad. Sponsored by the Freddie Ford Family Foundation. Underwater Egg Hunt at the Ballwin Pointe, April 8:

Dive into an underwater egg hunt where kids ages 8-14 can win awesome prizes and candy. Egg hunters should wear their swimsuits and bring towels, because after diving for eggs, they can swim and listen to the latest tunes. Pre-registration is required. 6 to 8 p.m. at The Point in Ballwin. Check in begins at 5:30 p.m. Two separate hunts will be held for ages 8-10 and ages 11-14. Underwater Egg Hunt at The Lodge Des Peres, April 15: 

Kids and teens ages 7-14 can join in on a unique egg hunt in the indoor pool at The Lodge Des Peres. Grab your swimsuits and goggles and get ready to hunt underwater for eggs. Participants will have the opportunity win awesome prizes and candy. Cost includes admission to the Open Swim with Waves session from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on the egg hunt night. Kirkwood Lions Club Egg Hunt in Kirkwood Park, April 16

The annual Lion's Club Easter Egg Hunt will be held April 16 at noon sharp in Kirkwood Park. This egg hunt is free for children up to age 12. The hunt is open to all kids. Some eggs contain fun prize tickets! Registration is not required. There will be separate sections for different age groups, so be sure to arrive early to find your correct age group. The Gateway Grizzlies annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place on April 16 at the GCS Credit Union Ballpark in Sauget, Ill. The Easter Bunny has been busy filling thousands of eggs with candy and prizes for the annual Easter EGGstravaganza at Heartland Park in Wentzville. Children should bring their own baskets, and will be grouped according to age for the hunts. Gates open at 8:30 a.m. Hunts will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Advance registration is $5 per child.
